Connecting:

First of all, we are looking for players – that means YOU. This server has been running since February 2011 and has seen multiple updates since then. In order to prevent griefing and general chaos, the permissions on this server are set so that anyone can connect and tour the world – but by default you won’t be able to create or mine anything. If you decide you want to play here with us, you can contact me at christian@miramichi.net or one of the other ops on the server by the Live Map & Chat link to the right and we can set you up as a full player and let you loose in the world.

Connecting to us is easy, if this is your first time then just select Multiplayer at the main menu and enter nerd-cave.net for the IP address.

Rules:

Now like most other severs there are some rules to follow:

1. NO Spamming in the chat.
2. NO hacks or cheats – If you would like to see a plugin installed, let us know.
3. NO messing with other players creations without their permission.
4. NO abusive language – There may be kids online.
5. NO harassing other players
6. NO calling my mom a whore.
7. DO use common sense – If you have questions – ask.

These rules are not meant to ruin your fun, they’re meant to keep you from ruining someone else’s fun – as fun as it may be for you to call my mom a whore, it will ruin my fun. I am NOT going to police everyone’s behavior but if I get reports of someone being a continuing nuisance I will ban them. This server is run by adults for fun, I won’t tolerate childish behavior; I don’t care if you’re not an adult, if you can behave like one then you are welcome to play.

PVP is allowed and I have a chest locking plugin installed so lock your chests/furnaces if you don’t want someone to take anything. If you leave something in an unlocked chest, don’t cry if you lose it.

I will not make this a rule but I will ask that you not build too close to another town and please do connect to the nearest one with a road (preferably cobblestone or wood) – Direction signs would be nice too, this will encourage traveling.

Keep in mind that I run this server in my free time and can’t help you 24/7 – there are other moderators that can help but if there is a problem please be patient, we will do the best we can.

Minecraft Commands & Plugins:

The list of commands that we use with the plugins can get pretty long and there are more commands available than just these – these are what are available to all regular players:

/help – Shows all commands available to you.

/sethome – Sets a home point at your current position.
/home  – Takes you home.

/warp – List all the global warp points.
/warp [name] – Go to that warp point.

/back – Teleport back to your last position (useful when you die).

/cprivate or /lock – Locks your chest or furnace.
/cpassword [password] – Create a password-protected chest.
/cpublic – Creates a public chest ANYONE can access but not lock.
/cinfo – Info on your protected chests.

/money – Shows how much money you have.
