Nerd-Cave Pictures Updated

I needed an area put a new desktop computer that I bought since the laptop was getting hard to work with – I need a lot of desk space to work so I decided to rearrange to Nerd-Cave a little.

The three big shelving units have been reduced to one so I’ve added some more shelves in the remaining unit to accommodate as many consoles as I could. It’s pretty tight and I still couldn’t fit in the VIC-20, the Commodore 128, the Atari XE, and the Atari 2600. The Wii and the PS3 are downstairs in the living room hooked up to the 52″ Plasma so I didn’t have to worry about them.

My wife bought me a new chair for my birthday and I love it. I wired the Xbox 360 to the network and stream video to it all the time.

I decided to hang some nerdy stuff up around me like comics, posters and shirts. I had to put up a few shelves along the ceiling for the console boxes to be displayed and enjoyed. The comics next to Pac-Man are ones that I’m selling shortly, the main collection is in the closet.

The comics that are hanging in the room are not necessarily worth anything in particular, they’re just ones that have been of special interest to me personally:

Death & Return of Superman, Bane breaks Batman’s back, Spider-Man gets married, Secret Wars series, Spider-Man’s first appearance in the black costume – and yes, that is an issue of Welcome Back Kotter #3 from 1977 – Such an oddball thing to have but there used to be comics of everything back then.

The posters are made of various materials like metal, wood and cloth (some are just regular posters).

I'm a Computer and Networking Engineer, Electronics Hobbyist and all around nerd. I draw when I get the chance but never got around to taking lessons for it. I'm also an amateur collector (Video Games & Comic Books mostly) and enjoy long walks on the beach.
